<div align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: normal; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-outline-level: 1; text-align: center;">
<b><u><span style="font-family: "Eras Demi ITC",sans-serif; font-size: 22.0pt; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-font-kerning: 18.0pt; text-transform: uppercase;">7 LESSONS KIDS LEARN FROM MARTIAL ARTS<o:p></o:p></span></u></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
In film and TV, martial arts are too often depicted as gory,
violent, and inherently aggressive – something that is simply not true.
Unfortunately, this perceived image leads some parents to shy away from
enrolling their children in martial arts. Although martial arts do contain a
physical component, they also emphasize values more than many other sports and
activities.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
If you’re trying to convince a friend, peer or other
acquaintance to allow their child to sign up for martial arts, or if you’re a
parent weighing the merits of martial arts for your child, here are a few of
the values that you should know about, that martial arts teaches.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">1.
Courage<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
In Korean, one of the many languages and cultures connected
to martial arts, courage is expressed as Yong Gi (<span style="font-family: "Malgun Gothic",sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: "Malgun Gothic";">용기</span>).
The first character, yong, is enough in itself to denote the quality of
bravery. The second character, gi, is the same that represents the energy of
focus martial artists channel when they strike. Thus, the ‘courage’ definition
that youth learn in martial arts is one which encompasses a certain spirit of
bravery. It is not simply acting without fear, but is channeling an internal
energy to act in spite of fear. Courage is a transferable skill, a moral value that
allows students to set goals, overcome challenges, and meet success in the dojo
and in everyday life.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">2.
Respect<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Respect is one of the main values taught in martial arts,
where it is often shown with a bow. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
One of the other key martial arts values is respect.
Children are taught to respect the masters who came before them, their
instructors, their peers, and themselves. Quality martial arts instructors
focus on this value consistently, encouraging students to carry it with them
beyond the studio. Self-respect and respect those both above and below them in
status are essential character qualities that stick with kids throughout their
lives.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">3.
Leadership<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Leadership is a value, a personal quality, and a fundamental
skill. Some young people have inherent leadership qualities, while others
develop them with proper mentorship and growth opportunities. Martial arts is a
sport which encourages and stimulates young leaders with chances to help
lower-level students reach their goals. With these skills, children can be
empowered to take positive decisions and act as role models within their
school, family, and community.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">4.
Discipline<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Working together to execute a synchronized kata, or form,
takes teamwork and discipline, both fundamental martial arts values.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Discipline can be one of the most important martial arts
values that transfers into other aspects of a child’s life. It goes beyond
respect for authority who use correctional leadership and punishment, but
rather focuses on self-discipline practices. In martial arts, the definition of
‘discipline’ doesn’t mean punishment, but the ability to control one’s emotions
and short-term desires while productively working towards more meaningful
long-term goals. In the dojo, this is instilled through the use uniforms,
repeated practice of techniques, and use of respect-oriented customs which lead
to greater focus and concentration.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">5. Confidence<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Martial arts teaches children to be confident in themselves.
<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
When students work towards their goals and see themselves
succeed, they begin to feel empowered with self-confidence. In this way,
martial arts teaches children that hard work and focus can help them accomplish
what they set out to do. Kids learn how to work with their own strengths and
weaknesses and believe in their own abilities. They grow with self-assurance, a
quality which makes them more confident in other aspects of life.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Martial arts also teach children the correct way to fail.
Their coaches will warn them that they may not always win when they participate
in tournaments or matches, and, on a smaller scale, they may have days where
they struggle in class or find it difficult to learn a new move. Instead of
getting discouraged, kids in martial arts learn to view failure as a learning
experience. These kids will have the confidence to try more new things when
they don’t see failure as something to fear.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">6. Focus <o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
In order to become skilled in martial arts, you must focus
on your goals. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The mental and physical challenges of martial arts require
attentive focus from students. This is important for correctly learning a
technique with diligent practice and for channeling one’s energy and strength.
Like other martial arts values, focus is one that is needed for success beyond
the dojo as well. When kids learn this skill in their martial arts class, they
can begin to apply it to homework, chores, and other personal goal-setting as
they move into adulthood.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<b><span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 107%;">7.
Physical Fitness<o:p></o:p></span></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Martial arts is fun, healthy exercise for kids!<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Like other sports, martial arts keeps students physically
fit. They also learn to value the quality of being fit, as it becomes necessary
for reaching their goals and maintaining the other moral values imparted within
the dojo. Various martial arts can include cardio workouts, strength training,
relaxation skills, and flexibility. Healthy bodies also tend to have positive
impacts on other aspects of life, such as increased energy levels throughout
the day, effective concentration, and positive endorphins for good moods and
healthy social interactions.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
These crucial values and skills will impact a child far
beyond the dojo. While self-defense skills are one of the more tangible
outcomes of martial arts practice, positive morals contribute to lifelong
character-building and development of soft skills for success.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
If you’re a martial arts instructor and teach classes to
children, make sure that you bring up these values when talking with parents of
new or potential students. Actively promote them in your school, and both you
and your students will reap the benefits.<o:p></o:p></div>

If so, read on....<br />
<br />
Do you have an issue with low self esteem or self confidence? Are you being teased, bullied or taunted by others? Do you want to feel secure in your own environment without having to rely on outside means? Ever thought you could rely on YOUR body, whatever the shape or size, to protect yourself and your loved ones?<br />
<br />
PHOENIX fitness is NOW offering one on one training or small group class training in Basic Self Defense..............<br />
<br />
Many people think of self-defense as a karate kick to the groin or jab in the eyes of an attacker. But self-defense actually means doing everything possible to <em><strong>avoid</strong></em> fighting someone who threatens or attacks you. Self-defense is all about using your smarts — not your fists. it's about tuning in your mind and body to the daily surroundings and how to handle yourself in any situations that arise.<br />
<br />
We already have the tools on our bodies - to have to think about carrying Pepper Spray or a concealed weapon is all fine and good --- BUT, what happens if either of these are knocked out of your hands? Do you have a Plan B?<br />
<br />
With a 3 month course in some basic defense techniques, I feel sure that you will walk away, (yes walk - this class will not cripple you) with some knowledge, and heightened self esteem and confidence so you can handle yourself and protect your loved ones in any situation.<br />
<br />
Anyone ages 5 years and up is a good candidate for this class. We can do this in my studio, we can do this at your house, or if you know of a community center that might allow this, that could work also.<br />
<br />
Please call Thom at 719-930-6365 for more information - Do NOT wait to take advantage of this class - you may surprise yourself with the skills you already have!thomseehaferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16440835455267702635noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3651933249574490696.post-24994406790516919692014-02-02T19:09:00.003-08:002014-02-18T19:46:44.750-08:00S.D.a.C. <span style="font-family: "Imprint MT Shadow"; font-size: 12pt;">This class is a 45 minute session that will instruct you in the basics in Self Defense. How much protein you ask? Depending on how active you are thru the day is a determining factor. Fitness enthusiasts and bodybuilders are encouraged to consume about 1-1.5 grams per pound of body weight. Others should be targeting at least, 50 grams per day of protein. Recommendations for weight loss, is to consume 30 percent protein (600 calories), 30 percent carbohydrates (600 calories), and 40 percent fat (800 calories). Do not snack and do not eat after dinner at night. Eat either two or three meals a day. Keep carbohydrates low and definitely watch your carbohydrate intake for dinner. <b>Bon Appetit

Duke and Will may be a bit large, but they know how to move their bodies…..And yes, I know, they can stand to have a little less in their doggy bowls too. How can they be sooo round yet move so fast? Their energy comes from being put on the Mini Bio-Mats or when I snoose, they join me on the large one. We all know that the mats contain amethyst as well as precious tourmaline, and it's becoming more frequent for vets to recommend that their pet clients purchase one. Pets love the warmth of the Biomat and infrared lightwaves are excellent for improving pets' health and for prevention of illness. In vet offices, a mini mat can calm a nervous pet very quickly!
The results affect the pets the same way we get results….
Your loved pet can expect rapid relief and/or aid for
Pain and Stiffness Stress and Fatigue Strengthening the Immune System
Overweight ( ) Digestion and Elimination Kidney & Liver Problems
Detoxifying & Cleansing Diabetes Cardiovascular Problems Longevity
If you would like to try out a Biomat for yourself or for your pet, I will gladly loan you a mat for a few days so you can experience what the mat can do for both yourself and your pet(s)….

<br />
Natural is a better choice.<br />
Too much sugar is never good to anyone, -yes, looking around what people are putting into their shopping carts, it's hard to imagine, but if you have to use sugar, a natural, unrefined sugar would be a healthier choice.<br />
There are many kinds of sugar that you can use as an alternative to refined white sugar. These are natural sweeteners and some of them has slow absorption rate, which is good for your blood-sugar levels.<br />
<br />
Is sugar really bad for you? What's the truth and what can you do about it?<br />
<br />
1. Natural Sugar cane or raw sugar<br />
This term refers to unrefined sugars.The nutrients, flavor and color have not been removed since they undergo minimal processing during production. Raw sugars can range from yellow to brown in color. A variety of raw sugars are made by crystallizing evaporated cane juice, which is boiled down to a crystalline solid, then purifying the product slightly with minimal chemical processing. It has more complex flavors and better nutrition.<br />
<br />
2. Agave Nectar<br />
Agave syrup (or nectar) is produced from an agave plant. Its fleshy leaves cover the pineapple-shaped heart of the plant, which contains a sweet sticky juice. Agave syrup(or nectar) is about 90% fructose. Only recently has it come in use as a sweetener. It has a low glycemic level and can be a safe alternative to table sugar. Although it has a low glycemic value (because the glycemic are measured by the level of glucose, which is low in this syrup), according to some experts, if fructose is consumed after eating a large meal that overly raises the blood sugar, its property can turn out to affect the raising of blood sugar, too. So it is a good thing to keep in mind to eat high-fructose dessert on an empty stomach. The light syrup has a more neutral flavor. 3/4 cup of gave nectar should equal 1 cup of table sugar.<br />
<br />
3. Rice Syrup<br />
Made from soaked and sprouted rice (sometimes a combination of rice and barley), which is dried and cooked down to a thick syrup using enzymes to break down carbohydrates into sugar. Rice syrup contains a high level of maltose, which gives it a low glycemic index. It has a deep, earthy,malty flavor and less sweet than refined white sugar. Rice syrup is including barley malt syrup and brown rice syrup. The product is 50 % complex carbohydrates, 45% maltose and 3 % glucose, which takes time for the body to absorb into the blood stream. Rice syrup is healthy because it is made from whole food and doesn't require many processing.<br />
<br />
4. Raw Organic Honey.<br />
Commercial honey can be high in refined sugar and corn syrup because the manufacturer needs to control the cost of the product. Raw, Organic Honey is a much better choice if you can find one. People have been eating honey for thousands of years, and raw honey is believed to have a number of health benefits. Raw honey is one and a half times sweeter than sugar so you can use less than normal sugar. Natural honey contains vitamins or minerals, but however, it can raise your blood sugar level as much as white sugar. 1/2 cup of honey is equal to 1 cup of white sugar.<br />
<br />
5. Maple Syrup<br />
Maple syrup is a natural sweetener that is produced from the sap of the maple tree which has significantly high sugar content. It can be used in cooking, making candies and just about everything. Maple syrup is a very good source of manganese and zinc. Manganese has strong antioxidant properties and is also a natural energy booster. Zinc is also a potent antioxidant and even helps protect our hearts from damage. Furthermore, manganese and zinc help strengthens the body’s immune system. Maple Syrup 1/3 cup is equal to 1 cup white sugar.<br />
<br />
6. Blackstrap Molasses<br />
Simply explained, Molasses is made from sugar canes that have gone through the process of extracting and making sugar. The byproduct or 'waste' from processing sugar cane or beet is molasses. There are three grades of molasses : sulphured, unsulphured, and blackstrap. Sulphured molasses comes from unripened green sugar cane. Because it is not ripened, sulphur has to be used in order to produce sugar. Sulphure is not good for consumption. Unsulphured molasses is obviously a better choice. Blackstrap molasses comes from the third boiling of sugar syrup. The thick dark liquid contains the most nutrients of all.<br />
<br />
Blackstrap molasses is rich in iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium and manganese. Blackstrap molasses has a low glycemic index which means that the body can absorb it slowly. It is not only good for sweetener but It has also been used in many remedies for holistic healing purpose. 1/2 Cup of blackstrap molasses equal 1 cup of sugar.<br />
<br />
7. Stevia<br />
Stevia is the world’s only all natural sweetener with zero calories, zero carbohydrates and a zero glycemic index. Stevia has been used by Native people in Paraguay and other parts of South America for centuries. This wonder plant is many times sweeter than sugar and can be used in cooking, baking and just about anything you like. The therapeutic properties of stevia include adding into medicinal teas for treating heartburn and other ailments. Medical research has shown that stevia has a negligible effect on blood glucose and even enhancing glucose tolerance. Stevia can be used in treating obesity and hypertension. This may sound too good to be true but the safety of stevia is well documented in over 200 published scientific studies. The reference link is down here. 2 Tablespoon of stevia equals 1 cup of white sugar.<br />
<br />
8. Xylitol<br />
Xylitol is a substance like sugar alcohol that is used as a sugar substitute. Xylitol is synthesized from the fibers of many fruits and vegetables, including various berries, corn husks, oats, and mushrooms. It can be extracted from corn fiber, birch, raspberries, and plums. It has a low glycemic index value and low in calories. Xylitol is claimed to be safe and can be used for dental care because its property .(Non-fermentable, Xylitol is alkaline-enhancing vs. sugar's acid-forming so bacteria cannot use it for energy) Furthermore, Studies has shown that xylitol can be used as a treatment for osteoporosis, respiratory infections and candida yeast. Xylitol is meant to be eaten by small dose. Over consumption of xylitol may result in diarrhea, bloating and flatulence. The sweetness is just like sugar.<br />
ylitol comes in powder form, & it is usually added to low-carlorie or sugar free mint, gum & many products.<br />
You always have a choice.<br />
Now you know that you can always add some sweetness to your life by chosing what is best for your health. Remember one golden rule : Everything has its own balance. When chosing sweeteners, a natural and healthy one is always better. However, always remember that nothing is never meant to be good if it is too much or too less. Play by quality, not quantity. Use these sweeteners considerably and always keep in mind that everything that is too much will be poisonous to your body.<br />

Here we go, I stole this from Will and Grace's notebook--they won't mind: With this recipe, you are replacing the white flour (YUCK) with whole wheat flour, the butter (SORRY PAULA DEEN) with applesauce and coconut oil and the white sugar (HISSSSSSS!!) with agave & Splenda Blend --YAAAAYYYYY! I am hoping everyone understands the short hand of what the small "c", "t", etc. mean--if not, let me know</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Ingredients</div>
<div>
2 c. black beans (no salt added--THIS is a secret ingredient)</div>
<div>
1/3 c. melted coconut oil</div>
<div>
1/2 c. cocoa powder</div>
<div>
1/4 t. salt</div>
<div>
3 t vanilla extract</div>
<div>
1/2 c. honey or brown rice syrup*</div>
<div>
3 lightly beaten eggs</div>
<div>
1/2 cups dark cacao chocolate chips --or just a good chocolate, grated, chip or otherwise--78% or better</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
3 oz cream cheese, room temp</div>
<div>
4 oz goat cheese, room temp</div>
<div>
2 t. honey</div>
<div>
1/4 t. vanilla</div>
<div>
1/2 c. frozen raspberries, fresh or frozen, chop coarsely with a knife when you are ready to use</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Preheat oven to 350'. These brownies will be THICK and moist--so we choose to use an 8x8 pan--use larger if you like them thinner--grease the pan.</div>
<div>
To make the brownie base, combine the bean,s oil, cocoa, salt, vanilla and honey/syrup into a food processor and blend till smooth. </div>
<div>
Transfer to large bowl and FOLD --- "Folding" is a more gentle mixing technique than "stirring" and "mixing". Stirring and mixing both denote a more vigorous action. Folding is usually used for items where something has previously been whipped (such as egg whites or cream) or where tenderness is desired and thus less mixing is advisable (muffins & biscuits). Folding is usually done with a rubber spatula (for liquid & dry ingredients) or with a wire whisk (often beneficial for whipped cream and egg whites so that the mixture gently incorporates as it falls through the wires).</div>
<div>
Pour into prepared pan and spread gently with spatula. Next , make the swiri mixture ---Place the goat cheese, cream cheese, vanilla and honey in bowl, stirring till smooth. Spoon this over the brownie mixture, and then sprinkle the rough cut raspberries on top...takle a knife and gently swirl the layers in the pan,</div>
<div>
This is tricky to keep these babies moist, so check at intervals of 15 minutes, turning pan and checking with toothpick to make sure center is done but NOT overcooked--plan on at least 30 minutes of cooking, but time will differ a bit based on heating in oven........remove, cool on rack and cut into delectable slices</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Lightly sweet, amber-colored and smooth, Brown Rice Syrup is a nutritive sweetener that is about half as sweet as sugar. Brown rice syrup is a tasty alternative for those who watch their sugar intake. Bake with it, pour it over ice cream or pancakes, or stir it into your morning coffee.</div>

So, you say you want to enjoy all the smells and tastes of the season that accompany holiday food, without all the cream, butter, fat etc? Well still continue on your healthy eating regimen, but if you do stray, don't worry. By using some of these smart and clever spices now, you can add a ton of flavor sans the fat using spices!</div>
<div>
Star anise</div>
<div>
This Chinese spice is similar to regular anise, only more pungent flavor. With a licorice taste and beautiful rust color, this spice plays a star roll in chai tea, Chinese five-spice powder and mulling mix.</div>
<div>
Cloves</div>
<div>
Cloves are warming, sweet and decidedly fall. They are perfectly paired with ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon in pumpkin bread and butternut squash soup. Or simply stud a few in a bowl of oranges for a fragrant centerpiece, oooh-la-la like Granny's house!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Ginger</div>
<div>
Spicy and full of nutrients like Vitamin B6, Ginger helps aid in digestion and complements a variety of seasonal dishes. It's delicious in Asian dishes and pairs well with both savory and sweet foods. Feeling icky? Grate some fresh ginger with some honey and cover with water, boil for about 10 minutes and enjoy seeped as tea.</div>
<div>
Nutmeg</div>
<div>
Nutty and slightly sweet, nutmeg is a seasonal favorite. Seek out whole nutmeg pods and grate fresh for the best flavor. Try a dash in green beans or spinach for an extra touch of delish. Grate off a bit to finish mashed potatoes, mac 'n cheese or your fave creamy pasta dish.</div>
<div>
Cinnamon</div>
<div>
Cinnamon is synonymous with fall. Warming and fragrant with a nod to the holidays, a sprinkle of cinnamon may boost cognitive function and memory. Place cinnamon sticks in your apple cider, mulled vino or even hot chocolate! Add to a spice rub for a new twist.</div>

<br />
3/4 cup whole wheat flour 1/4 cup GOOD Cocoa Powder<br />
1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/8 teaspoon salt<br />
8 oz CHOCOLATE Silken Tofu (6 oz regular Tofu) 1/4 cup olive oil<br />
1/2 cup white sugar (1 cup white sugar) 4 teaspoons vanilla or almond extract<br />
2 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped (4 oz bittersweet) 2 teaspoons peppermint extract OR <br />
1/2 cup GOOD dark chocolate chips 5 drops dOterra Essential oil Peppermint<br />
<br />
Preheat oven to 350' and grease an 8" square pan<br />
Combine dry ingredients: flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in small bowl and set aside<br />
Place tofu in a food processor. Puree till smooth and add olive oil and sugar<br />
Blend for another minute and stir in vanilla or almond extract<br />
Melt chocolate in top of double boiler (pan set over hot water), stir frequently, scraping down sides. Mix this into the tofu mixture and then stir in the flour mixture. Finish by folding in chocolate chips.<br />
Bake in the oven, about 30 minutes, but brownies are a finicky bunch, so I suggest checking every 15 minutes or so and if you think they are ready, the toothpick will come out clean......cool before slicing and then grab an icy cold glass of almond milk, rice milk, hemp milk or coconut milk... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! <br />

Some people might believe that there are only 2 types of carbohydrates out there—Simple and Complex, but actually, there is a third one which is included sometimes in the complex carb category and it’s called Dietary Fiber.
Let’s talk about dietary fiber. <br />
<br />
Another name for this is called roughage or “rabbit food” The roughage comes from different parts on the plants that we cannot digest. It is called “fiber” because it is both soluble and insoluble. The soluble fiber is able to be broken down to provide us with energy.You can find this in many fruits, vegetables , most of your leafy greens, apples and pears, just to name a few. <br />
The insoluble fiber is usually found in whole grain cereals, breads and rice and it does NOT provide energy and cannot be digested.”
To increase the amount of fiber in your diet, try starting each day with a high-fiber cereal or substitute a sugary snack with the dry cereal
The complex carbs are the good boys in this whole group. They provide the body with the best fuel possible. They also maintain their natural water content, fibers, vitamins and minerals. They help you feel more satisfied after eating. <br />
Foods high in fiber contain complex carbs and the good thing about this is that these carbs break down in a slower manner, thereby giving us a steadier blood sugar level throughout the day, and in return, you feel less hungry and irritable.
These should be included as part of your daily eating program. Ahhh, but what should I eat you ask – how about fresh fruit, ie apricots, raspberries, strawberries and blackberries, vegetables, legumes and grains.<br />
You can also consume NON STARCHY vegetables – and what are these you ask? Let me take some of the guess work out of the equation for you. Believe it or not, there are many veggies out there low in carbohydrates. These include asparagus, green beans, beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, eggplant, greens, leeks, mushrooms, onions, peppers, radishes, just to name a few.<br />
The following also are considered starchy veggies but just limit your intake, especially if you have diabetes or other diseases where you need to restrict sugar and carb intake.
<br />
The simple carbs are the “bad boys” in the group. These types primarily have most if not all the nutrition removed from them. Overindulging of this type, more commonly referred to as processed foods, will leave your body unsatisfied which can lead to overeating. The can throw your insulin and blood sugar levels off. If you blood sugar drops too low, this will cause the hunger to appear, and when that happens, <br />
WATCH OUT!!! The food monster rears its ugly head.
It’s true our body needs sugar as fuel, but only to a certain point. Any extra will be turned into fat, and you don’t want that to happen now, do you?
<br />
<br />
<strong>Good Carbs (YAAAAYYYY!!!)</strong>
Vegetables, Fruits, Legumes, Nuts and seeds, Whole grains<br />
<br />
<strong>Bad Carb Foods (BOOOOOO!)</strong>
Most baked goods – sorry!! :
White bread, Pastas, Soda, Candy, Fruit juices <br />
<br />
THERE YA HAVE IT, FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!!!!!!!
